I AM THE PROBLEM
I met someone recently who reaffirmed something I’ve always had in mind. I’ve always wondered why people are so dedicated to giving to church building “projects” (which is still an investment in souls and I give to it too) but are far less interested in investing in Kingdom agendas that directly impact both the saved and the unsaved.
Think about it:
You go to church on Sunday and spend at most 4 hours there, then spend the rest of the week in the streets where toxic ideologies are the order of the day, and we expect a transformed society just because we have plenty churches?
Sometimes we try to reconcile the amount of great work pastors are doing with the behavior of believers, and it can sometimes look far apart.
The Bible teaches us to be transformed by the “renewing” of our minds. That is a continuous activity that might start in church but must be sustained. We have learnt how to start fire but not how to maintain it. We must create systems that burn through the world and draw people into the ideologies of Christ.
One of those systems is Media and Entertainment. This is not a nice conversation/newsletter. This is an outcry to keep this world sane for me, you, and our children.
As much as building churches and investing in crusades is great, we must also think about soul maintenance and soul retrieval “Salvation”.
This is my theory, and I urge you to think about it.
Think about the last Christian movie you watched that was actually well done. Think about how it made you feel and what it taught you. If you are honest, you will realize that even you as a believer were convicted and deeply entertained, and that is what I mean by a good Christian movie.
Now imagine if 90 percent of the movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime were like that.
Imagine what it would do to an unbeliever’s mind.
Imagine the kind of conversations it would spark.
Imagine if we had more influencers on social media with Christian ideologies. Imagine what Twitter would look like.
Now imagine if 90 percent of the biggest songs in the world were gospel centric, genre does not matter.
Imagine the kind of transformation that would happen in the world.
Do you know what’s stopping that from happening?
OUR MONEY!!!

Bruhhh. This is so apt!
We’ve left entertainment to the enemy for so long! And if we’d be honest, ‘very few things shapes a culture like entertainment.
So on point. We are exposed to everyday life, that's why we need to invest in bringing Christ to society through works that reaches the society at large.
